Wedding Venue at Teignmouth in Devon

Wedding Venue near Teignmouth in Devon

Teignmouth is situated on the north bank of the estuary mouth of the River Teign, about 14 miles south of Exeter.  It has a population of circa 15,000.  Teignmouth is a historic port and classic seaside resort with a promenade, Victorian pier, a lido, shops and parks.  There are two distinct sides to Teignmouth, the sea front and the harbour side.

Teignmouth’s Grand Pier is a magnificent Victorian structure and compliments the town with wonderful views across the bay.  The town’s working harbour is also a hub of activity, where you can hire a boat and try your hand at some fishing.  Close to the town centre is a lawned area by the seafront known as the Den.  The Den occasionally hosts live music events, and in 2009 Muse played an open air concert there.  Teignmouth also has an award winning Water Play Park, and a zoo with some rare and endangered species.  Ferry trips are available across the river mouth to Shaldon where you can take a walk along the estuary.  Here at low tide you can see the locals collecting mussels and other shellfish.

Lakeview Manor is an ideal wedding Venue located near Honiton in Devon, and is within easy reach of Teignmouth. Many weddings have their guests from throughout Devon, and so having a venue which is more central such as Lakeview Manor can make it the ideal location.
