There is nothing more refreshing than time in the great outdoors, and no better way to learn about the natural world than from our experienced on-location Rangers. Our programme of Ranger activities which take place on Wednesdays during school holidays is designed for adults as well as children. It is a great opportunity to learn real bushcraft skills, like constructing a shelter using materials from the forest floor, building a fire or making tea from nature’s own larder. Your friendly ranger will also teach you the names of the forest plants, animals and minibeasts, how to identify woodland mammals from the signs they leave, and how to get help in an emergency if you are camping in the wild, as well as a host of other fabulous nature facts and tips.
